Chewy Chocolate chip cookies

I couldn't resist.

I was supposed to be studying.

I should be studying for finals right now.

But I'm too restless to get any accounting concepts into my head.

I was craving for chocolate. Lots of chocolate.

I can only blame myself for this. I have this long list of to-bake recipes saved on my phone and my macbook. And when I get restless, I'll just pick one recipe (depending on what I have at home) and bake something. Too bad I take hours to bake and wash up, otherwise I'll bake more...

I found this recipe while searching for a Famous Amos replica recipe, and this couldn't be more different. It's a chewy chocolate chip recipe! Okay, to be more precise, this is the Hummingbird Bakery Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe! I actually tried Hummingbird Bakery when I was in London, but only their cupcakes.

Chopping the chocolate is actually quite relaxing

Unfortunately I was too good at chopping -coughs- so the chocolate 'chips' turned out to be chocolate 'shreds'.

I didn't press down the cookie dough balls. They just melted into puddles when they were in the oven!

Eh I know the newspaper looks hideous, and not to mention, is super unhygienic. But it's just there to catch any crumble and didn't touch the cookies at all.

It's a little crunchy on the bottom, but is still very chewy. I really like this recipe!

I think it tastes nicer than subway's cookie, maybe because Subway's cookies are too sweet..
