This is going to be a rant.

You're never going to read this, but I'm glad you won't. Because you don't even deserve an explanation from me.

I have seen a lot of people like you, coming in and out of my house. Way too much in the recent years. I should just say that my mum is naive for believing everything you people say. But, you.. you're too much. You're not just a friend, or an acquaintance we got to know through someone else. You're someone I see every chinese new year. Once a year. Sometimes I don't even see you at all in a year. You never even bothered to call often.

This is new. You visited us at least 3 times this year. And you initiated the visits. Actually you just showed up whenever you want, and we never turned you down when you just called and grandly announced that you're visiting. You bring those expensive things you call miracle supplements and make us pay for them. You visit again to say that we must have finished them and should buy more.

You know what. Shut up. We don't need your dubious miracle deer placenta. We don't want to pay 8k for a set. And you shouldn't force us to buy 4 sets every time you visit (which is slowly becoming once a month) Earn your money somewhere else. There is nothing wrong with selling things that you believe in. But don't force me to eat what you sell. Don't make use of us just because we're family. I know you never cared for us. Don't act like you suddenly do.

Money is scary. It makes people act differently. I don't mind helping you once or twice. But don't take our help as a given.

I have no right to say this in your face, because you're my elder. Yes it's not my money being spent on you. But as my elder, you should know better than this.

We are not your cash cows. Don't take my mum's efforts to be closer to you for granted. I may still address you as my elder, but you have completely lost all my respect for you. back to top?
