Snowy day in Helsinki
Need to make it a point to write more because I can't even remember what happened last week, so I'll probably forget everything from exchange once I'm back in Singapore. Not a particularly eventful today since it's the start of another week. Mundane Mondays mean another quiz in class? It snowed a lot today!! The weather has been a bit erratic in Helsinki? The first snow came a few weeks back right before I visited Amsterdam, then the temperatures went up for a few weeks and filled those days with rain. I still don't like the cold, but looking at snow makes it a little better than just enduring the cold under the rain. Don't ask me how all these work hahahaha Had a fun Sunday yesterday actually (yes, I suddenly recalled!). Had a really nice Nepalese lunch with Gavin and then watched Thor with Gav and Josh. Movie tickets were quite pricey considering that it's the weekend and we're in Helsinki but it was really enjoyable. Laughed through the movie and seriously, Chris Hemsworth is awesome. This reminded me of how Isabel and I burst out laughing when she hinted that I watched the movie for hot guys (cause Thor is great). The movie itself is good enough, but who would say no to watching Chris Hemsworth? I am going to regret writing this (and face palm myself) when I read this a few years later. Honestly, I have only tried Nepalese food after coming to Finland, and I have to say, they remind me so much of Malay food (except the naan and stuff). The meat just tastes so much like lamb rendang and I absolutely love it. I will definitely have it again before leaving Finland. Just the thought of having to leave this beautiful place is saddening. I'm trying not to count the number of days left. back to top? |
